Principal's Message

Principal's Message

Jessica Wilson

Jessica Wilson, Principal

Dear Elmcrest families and community members,

Welcome to the 25-26 school year at Elmcrest Elementary School, home of the Dragons!  We are excited to welcome all of our Dragons back to campus this year and continue to learn together.  As I head into my 6th year as Principal of Elmcrest, and I am excited to watch our progress continue to climb!  Over the last school year we have worked hard to improve our attendance, and with help of every single staff member, family and community member, we averaged attendance at 95% every single day. Due to this, we have watched our academic successes continue to increase as well.  We are on the rise and I'm positive we are only just getting started.

Mr. Ryan Linton Dean of Students

This year, we are focusing on moving our students and learning into the future.  We worked hard this summer to give our buildings a face lift and have added some new technology.  We are trying new schedules and have new teacher teams.  As we have seen over the course of the last few years, change is inevitable and we are eager to see what change does for us at Elmcrest.  However, we are committed to keeping our Dragon culture, where our teachers are committed and determined to make your students’ Elmcrest experience memorable and enriching.  Our teachers are highly qualified, talented, and passionate educators who are ready to offer a rigorous academic curriculum intertwined with social emotional learning.  Over the past few years, we were able to provide much needed technology to our school.  This has allowed most grade levels to move to a digital format.  You can expect your students to continue to be digital learners as we move forward.

Thank you for sharing your incredible children with us, and we look forward to the year ahead watching our students grow and succeed.

Sincerely,

Mrs. Wilson & Mr. Linton
